Listening to the Audience
Designing for the UConn Law community meant understanding both the people requesting changes and the people ultimately using the site. I worked with departments to understand their goals, while using website analytics and user behavior to inform decisions about content, structure, and usability.
Understanding the Needs
I partnered with departments across the law school to understand their goals, priorities, and audiences, translating their needs into web experiences that felt purposeful and easy to navigate.
Learning From Users
Website analytics helped me understand how visitors actually interacted with the site, allowing me to identify opportunities to improve content, navigation, and the overall user experience.
What I Take With Me
Listening First
Understanding the needs behind requests and pairing them with data-driven insights helped me find solutions that addressed stakeholder priorities while improving the experience for users.
Designing for Accessibility
Maintaining a university website strengthened my understanding of accessibility and reinforced the importance of designing experiences that work for a wide range of users.
Balancing Priorities
Different stakeholders often had competing needs, teaching me to find solutions that supported individual goals while still working within the larger structure of the website.
